Dappa Dan had been an artist as far back as he can remember. He began airbrushing at the age of 23. His ambition was to airbrush on automotive and motorcycles. He started at the bottom to learn control of the airbrush and gain experience with the airbrush and other necessary equipment as well as the various types and brands of paints by airbrushing at flea markets and fairs performing his skills and talent on t shirts and other garments.

Being an avid motorcycle lover, Dappa Dan now specializes in airbrushing motorcycles and automotive like he always wanted from the beginning. Dappa Dan is always willing to help. If you are incline to try your hand at airbrushing, don’t be afraid to ask Dappa Dan for advice and tips.

A word from the artist himself, Dappa Dan:

Allow me to introduce myself—my name is Dan, but those who choose to do business with me  call me Dappa Dan. This nickname emerged about a year and a half after I began my journey into the world of airbrushing back in the early 1990s. When you consider the many years that have passed since I first picked up an airbrush, it’s impressive to reflect on how far I’ve come. However, I want you to focus not just on the name Dappa Dan, but on the wealth of experience, profound knowledge, and unique talent I have cultivated over these decades. My skills were not acquired overnight; they are the result of years of dedication and passion. I have immersed myself in understanding the various types of paints, clear coats, and primers, along with the intricate preparation involved in painting and airbrushing everything from motorcycles and cars to trucks and more. When you choose to work with me, you’re investing in more than just the outcome of my work; you’re paying for the meticulous craftsmanship and efficiency I have mastered over the years. Two or three decades ago, I may have charged $50 an hour for my services, but today, I feel confident in setting my rate at $100 an hour, with a minimum charge of $300. To give you a clearer idea, if you wish to have your name beautifully airbrushed on your helmet, the process may seem quick at first glance. However, it encompasses several steps: carefully prepping the helmet, unpacking and setting up my top-notch equipment that is pretty spendy to purchase and replace. Executing the airbrushing itself, cleaning up the equipment afterward, and then applying a protective clear coat and buffing the helmet to perfection. This is not a hurried task; my style of airbrushing is far removed from what you might encounter at a beach, mall, or local fair where you watch the artists airbrushing t shirts, license plates and batting helmets.

Still, if that is what you want on you motorcycle, car, truck boat, or snowmobile, You get what you pay for... That is if you’re looking for something that’s fast and inexpensive and carries no guarantee on the quality and longevity of the paints, and clear coat. , I must caution you that going cheap will not meet your expectations for quality. If you desire something good and budget-friendly, it simply won’t be produced in a hurry. And should you seek something that is both fast and of high quality, something I provide, just be assured that it won’t come at a low price. I pride myself on being an artist who specializes in custom work, and the term "custom" signifies the creation of one-of-a-kind pieces that are truly unique and not easily replicated by the average person.
